Introduction

Are you ready to go down the rabbit hole? To visit a surreal world, where black is white and white is carrots?

A friend, Metacognician in Shanghai, describes the situation as follows: “Life is more absurd than movies. I've gone down the rabbit hole too, when it just becomes more and more strange and you wonder how that all is supposed to make sense.” I asked him if I should just embrace it. He answered, “Why should you ... change the universe?”

It started with a psychotic named Jim Kiraly who resides, we think, at 6329 Twinberry Circle, Avila Beach, California.

Jim Kiraly is a respected citizen. A churchgoer. A Vice President of Transamerica Corporation. And a violent abuser who tried to use an emergency anti-violence measure, one intended to protect battered women, to stop his victim in a wheelchair from writing a book.

Concise enough? :)

For attorneys: Jim Kiraly filed for CLETS against his son and victim, who lived 200 miles away, did not own a car, and was in a wheelchair. His son and victim was not asked to end communications. Jim had no (zero) specific and relevant allegations that were not perjury. But he turned down repeated offers of no-contact and a signed stipulation that gave him everything but CLETS. He insisted on CLETS if his victim ever once “discussed” him with third parties.

In the end, Jim Kiraly signed an agreement far weaker than the ones he'd been offered.

A review of Court paperwork and other materials will tend to confirm that Jim and other parties, including attorneys on all sides, committed multiple felonies, crimes, and faux pas. :P

The word “abuser” is stated here publicly and without equivocation. A formal offer is hereby made to reaffirm the word in writing and under oath. Attorneys will understand the significance of the point. In short, there is little terror of a threatened defamation suit on this side. Actually, we feel that such a suit will fit nicely up Jim Kiraly's abuser ass.

Jim has one son, Ken Kiraly, who invented the Amazon Kindle and is one of the leads at Amazon's secret Lab126. Another son, Tom Kiraly is one of the leads, a Vice President-CFO type, at medical insurance firms, including one of the largest, Humana Corporation.

These people and some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley legal circles have committed or are involved in multiple crimes.

For the next decade or two, we're going to explore the crimes that these people committed, the motivations and the denial involved, the background and histories that led each person to make the choices that they did, and ways to build upon what happened and move towards positive societal goals.

There's plenty to go over. These people committed or were involved in: Spousal abuse, child abuse, DDOS (a highly prosecutable violation of CFAA), extortion, perjury, conspiracy to commit perjury (a possible felony), false police reports, conspiracy to file false police reports (a possible felony), unlawful threats, barratry, defamation, malpractice, civil harassment, criminal harassment, abuse of process, and violations of SCCBA Professional Standards.

The point was to force Jim's oldest son and victim, me, to sign a gag order. I was in a wheelchair. I'd never made a single inappropriate threat against my abuser. I wasn't even asked to not to call anybody. But Jim threatened to put me in a violence database unless I agreed never to write about him.

I won the right to write, but I lost my home of 25 years, most of my possessions, my chances for retirement, everything. Everything but a realization.

I can make a difference. I can conduct research for legitimate and reasonable purposes, document what happened, and analyze the choices of the people involved:

Maggie told me that she didn't know what she could say to me about what happened. However, we have decades to work it out. It will be productive. I'd like to direct the attention of attorneys and other parties to the:

The Kiralys and their associates have tried to take down the sites before. Actually, they've committed multiple felonies in the process. It's no big deal, but to make a point, we're giving everything away for the low price of... well, free.

130113. A Debian user who prefers lighttpd to nginx or Apache asked me to help them configure lighttpd to produce access logs. They wanted both their actual domains and their virtual domains to be supported.

Here's how I did it.

For discussion purposes, I'll pretend that my friend had domains and/or virtual domains named:

projects.tastybacon.com
recipes.tastybacon.com
tastybacon.com
tastytoast.com.

a. I created the following folders and set owner.group for each to match the owner.group associated with lighttpd on the local host:

/var/logs/lighttpd
/var/www/projects
/var/www/recipes
/var/www/tastybacon
/var/www/tastytoast

b. I edited /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf and made sure that server.modules enabled both mod_access and mod_accesslog.

c. I added code similar to the following to the same file:

accesslog.filename     = "/var/log/lighttpd/tastybacon.log"
server.errorlog        = "/var/log/lighttpd/error.log"
server.document-root   = "/var/www/tastybacon/"

$HTTP["host"] =~ "(^|\.)projects\.tastybacon\.com$" {
    accesslog.filename   = "/var/log/lighttpd/projects-bacon.log"
    server.document-root = "/var/www/projects/"
}

$HTTP["host"] =~ "(^|\.)recipes\.tastybacon\.com$" {
    accesslog.filename   = "/var/log/lighttpd/recipes-bacon.log"
    server.document-root = "/var/www/recipes/"
}

$HTTP["host"] =~ "(^|\.)tastytoast\.com$" {
    accesslog.filename   = "/var/log/lighttpd/toast.log"
    server.document-root = "/var/www/tastytoast/"
}

d. I executed service lighttpd restart

This completed the changes. Finally, I presented my friend with a poem similar to the following. Apologies to the author of the original version:

What tracks down affairs
alone or in pairs,
and over the attacker's fog?

What's great for a hack,
And fits on CD stack?
They're logs, logs, logs

Everyone wants logs
You're gonna love them, logs
Come on and get your logs
Everyone needs logs
Logs logs logs

130111. Online is a sandy beach. Waves come up and wash sand castles away. Things are transient. They disappear. But they are no less real for that.

Temporary. This is one of the implied bargains. There are others. I'm fine with all of this. Because I'm one of the things that gets to be real here.

How does this work? It's simple. People matter. People are what make you real. Interaction defines you. And online distills interaction to the point where only the essentials are left. This makes a difference.

Things are simpler here. People can reinvent themselves. They can be who they wish to be. And they can learn who that is.

130111. Brazen is a brave young professional in Europe with a brash manner whose profession shall remain a mystery. Brazen seeks to bracket a target market and reach for the brass ring. Bravo.

Tonight she braced herself and asked how one might change the clipart on the right to transparent background. I'm no Brahmin, but I offered her an answer. Here's the procedure that we settled on. The resulting image is below the first one.

a. Load the input image into the GIMP

b. Do Select All, then Edit:Copy, followed by File:New

c. In the File:New window, use Advanced Options:Fill With to select Transparent Background

d. Do Edit:Paste, then Layer:Anchor Layer

e. Use the Pencil, set to one pixel wide, to fill in the gaps in the woman's arm and fingers. This simplifies the next step.

f. Use Eyedropper, Fuzzy Select, and Bucket Fill to color the woman's arm — I'll skip details for this step

g. Use Fuzzy Select to select the white background

h. Edit:Cut

i. Save image in PNG or XCF format. Not as GIF or JPEG.

j. Enjoy the transparented image. Possibly while having a bratwurst sandwich.

130111. Anunakki the God was away for a while but he's back. He'd like to share something with you: his song, Internetz.

Click here for Song Internetz by Anunakki

The music is posted with permission. If the preceding link does not work, here is an alternate direct download link for the music in MP3 format:

Anunakki_the_God_-_Internetz.mp3

Warning: The song has adult lyrics. In the past, I'd have been too shy to post this. The Kiraly Cases changed things for me. I discourage NSFW (adult) humor in my channels. But I now believe that God is less concerned about the “F word” than he is about things that matter.

Truth, for example. Possibly Honor. Obligation.

James Kiraly, Grace Kiraly, Thomas Kiraly, and Kenneth Kiraly will disagree with this perspective, of course.

The song may be viewed as a parody of Michael Bonetto's cases against me. I've been accused, in different contexts, of hacking Amazon Corporation, Humana Corporation, and Kenneth Kiraly.

Except that I haven't really been accused. Instead, Michael and the Kiralys imply that I've done these things. But I've looked and looked and I can't find any specific allegations of this type.

I'm confused by this.

Here are some of Anunakki's lyrics. Michael Bonetto, this song is again, a parody of what you and Hoge Fenton are doing to me and not any type of acknowledgment that if I'd actually wanted to read the apparently interesting things that James Kiraly doesn't want to be made public, I might have been able to do so.

As a related point, isn't it obvious that if I had that, had something that might have made Hoge Fenton drop James Kiraly like a hot potato, I'd have used it by now?

By the way, Ken Kiraly, regarding your speculation... get real. Say, the way that you lied about a crucial point related to phone calls, and yes, let's discuss the word “lie” in court sometime... did you consider that entirely appropriate? Just wondering.

Something like a hacker
Rootin' all yer servers
Rootin' all yer servers
No you didn't brute force
No you didn't brute force

Social Engineer, boy
They don't know about it
Hackin' all yer boxes

I don't even really want respect
I just tell you what it is

They don't really want war
Tell 'em I'm a Hacker
Somethin' like a Hacker
Rootin' all yer servers
Rootin' all yer servers

130111. Here's a project worth mentioning: Ring the Bell Fund. This seems to be a group that works to promote fire safety in schools.

I can't tell yet if the focus is local, regional, or national because the group and its site are still quite new. The group was founded in Fall 2012 and, as of 130111, the last news was dated 121120.

One point of interest is that the group was founded by my little brother, Kenneth Kiraly and my sister-in-law Virginia. Additionally, upon reviewing the site, I see that Kenneth is involved in a number of other projects that work towards the social good.

I'm reading the list as I write this paragraph. State Parks, fine. Red Cross, sounds good. Whoa. Kenneth Kiraly is involved in The Innocence Project. Cool. Hey, little brother, can you spell “irony” ?

And, Kenneth... you're also connected to American Society for Suicide Prevention. Isn't that odd, considering that one of your supporters came right to my world and told me not only to kill myself over the Amazon Corporation issue but exactly how to do it?

Or was that you yourself? The way that this person introduced himself was kind of funny...

Irony aside, there is an element of Deja Vu to Kenneth's involvement with the social good.

James Kiraly, Kenneth's father and my abuser, and for that matter, Kenneth's abuser as well, was involved with a positive organization named S.C.O.R.E.

As part of the research for my book, I phoned S.C.O.R.E. to ask questions about their goals. The call, and there was only one that I presently recall during that period, was entirely consensual and polite. But my abuser's reaction was to file CLETS and smash my life.

James has implied that I mentioned the past during that call to S.C.O.R.E. But he doesn't seem to be actually stating this at all. This is most likely because Michael Bonetto of Hoge Fenton is aware that it isn't true. Of course, Michael has no compunction about continuing to imply that it's true. This adds to my legal costs.

Thanks, Michael. You're a pal.

Kenneth Kiraly is as important to my book, actually books plural now, as James is. But I'm going to proceed carefully as I research the role that altruism plays, or doesn't play, in Kenneth's decisions.

To protect myself legally, I should probably be as transparent as possible and document each step here. And at the other sites this material is now moving to.

Friday 2013-01-11 — Tactician and the Kiralys

For the Kiraly Cases story, click here
Tags: Christ, God, Kiralys. A full Kiraly Cases tags system will be added in 2013.

130111. Tactician is somebody who's invested time and effort to help me search for employment. We've never met face to face, but he's done this anyway.

My parents, or such they are said to be, James and Grace Kiraly of Pismo Beach, declined even to pass a message from me on to Kenneth Kiraly.

I'd thought, foolishly enough, that Kenneth might be willing to act as a reference for me.

Kenneth, after all, was the young man who'd lived with me rent free for years after he dropped out of school, the one I taught to code in 'C', the one I hired for his first job at IPT, the one whose startup Multiscope I showed a great deal more faith in, etc.

Regular readers know a little about Kenneth Kiraly by now. They'll find that part tedious. However, it may be interesting to passersby who wish to know the story behind the story of the Amazon Kindle. Not that I knew about my little brother's connection to the Kindle for sure until I saw it in court papers.

I suppose that I should skip the rest of Kenneth's backstory for tonight in the interest of brevity. But I do hope to assemble a fair and accurate picture of his life in the future as I move towards fair and accurate biographies of all of my family members. Biographies that I am certainly entitled to research, to compose, and to distribute in every possible lawful and appropriate venue throughout the world.

My parents, James and Grace, decided that passing a message on to the little brother who owed me everything was not the best way to help me find a job.

Instead, these two people felt they could better promote employment opportunities for me by lying to the Pismo Beach police and subsequently filing not one but two CLETS actions based on lies about events that not only never happened but that I gather are no longer even alleged to have happened.

Michael Bonetto of Hoge Fenton, do I have this right or wrong? Note: I'm trying to ask the question as gently as a mother rocks a baby's cradle.

God Forbid I'd rattle the nerves or upset the digestion of the young person who's orchestrated the destruction of my health, my prospects, and my life in general based on misrepresentations, false and fraudent actions, perjury, criminal conspiracy, and/or actual prosecutable crimes on the part of himself or his clients.

Actions that will not be forgotten. No, Michael, that is not a “threat” or even the reliable standby “threatening tone”. It is a consequence that strikes me as natural in a situation where an abuser such as James Kiraly has fought relentlessly with your assistance to prevent his victim from speaking to child protection groups, social workers, county medical officials, women's shelters, churches, lawmakers, and the news media.

Are you presently making any specific and significant allegations, Michael, dated before the point where you initiated Abuse of Process so unambiguous that it may define you for the rest of your career?

Besides the lie that there were about 70 non-consensual calls. By now, Michael, you know that there were never any such calls, not even one, prior to the day where James, my abuser, threatened me with the police and refused to explain what he was talking about.

I prefer Tactician's approach to job hunts. Maybe I'm old fashioned. However, I think I've got a better chance with employers if job applications involve skills and experience as opposed to inclusion in a violent person database.

But what do I know?

The point is, people don't do things based on promises or obligations. Or based on what's right. People do things based on their perceptions. And their perceptions are shaped by what they are at heart.

At heart, Tactician is a Christian. A genuine example. The Kiralys are something else.

130111. I'd like to share a discussion that I had with Tactician after I learned about his latest efforts to help me. Edited for length.

<OldCoder> How are you feeling this week?

<Tactician> Feeling pretty good. Been listening to praise music while I read and practice php.

<OldCoder> I did like the music

<Tactician> I'm glad :)

<Tactician> The praise music is motivational. The exercise I wanted you to do this weekend, it's what I do a lot. Makes me feel closer to God a lot of the time.

<OldCoder> I remember... Music, then words. If that is what you mean.

<Tactician> That was one, but not the one for this weekend.

<OldCoder> Which one was it?

<Tactician> I haven't told you yet. It's listening to the song, but shifting your awareness to your heart, and imagining that your heart is singing the song to God.

<OldCoder> Imagine that you are the singer. Look for the resonance. Between the song and yourself. And God.

<Tactician> Yes, but not just that. Imagining that your heart, spiritual heart, is doing the singing to God. The very core of your being. What makes you, you.

<OldCoder> The song does more than reflect your feelings. You become a part of it. You and the song are one. You sing to God.

<Tactician> Exactly
<OldCoder> It is a form of prayer, then
<Tactician> It's beautiful
<OldCoder> One that helps you in a real way
* OldCoder considers

<OldCoder> Is this different than singing in a choir? Is not every hymn to be viewed this way? Not as ritual, but as connection?

<Tactician> Singing in a choir for me isn't really personal like singing to God alone at home is. I don't attend church. I worship at home.

<OldCoder> The Church is not the important part. The Church and ritual do not define God. The connection. The fact you are talking to Him. This is what matters.

<Tactician> Yes, exactly! I used to attend, but left the church. Most churches aren't what they should be. Not all, but most seem to not focus on what's important, but on things that don't do a Christian, or a non Christian any good.

<OldCoder> It is not tied up in ritual. It is about what somebody chooses to do. You... Your choices. Speak for themselves. Just as the choices of others. Speak for them.

<Tactician> Yes. It's about “relationship”.

<OldCoder> You should be more at peace. God does know what is in your heart — and it's good.

<Tactician> I always tell people that everything you do on Earth, all the money you have, all the cars, friends, fame ... nothing matters the moment you die. All that is going to matter is your relationship with Jesus Christ. Whether or not you knew Him, and He you.

<OldCoder> But you feel He does know you. Regardless.

<Tactician> Yes definitely. He knows us all. What I was referring to mainly was the part in the Bible where it says Jesus will either say “Well done, thou good and faithful servant” or “I never knew you, depart from me, ye workers of iniquity”.

<Tactician> My desire is to hear the words “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”.

<Tactician> :D

<OldCoder> Tactician, your choices define you. You are a good and faithful servant. Do you doubt this?

If you have failed at times to achieve perfection... Do you not strive for the Light? Not in words... But in deeds? Do you not actually *do* what you feel is right...

Even when it costs you?

You are not to judge yourself as you do. God will weigh your heart. It will not be found wanting.

<Tactician> Yes, I know what you're saying is true. I suppose it's just the human nature part of me that is always a little nervous, and makes me strive even more. Which is kinda a good thing when you think about it.

<OldCoder> Yes
<Tactician> It makes me want to do more and more to make sure
<OldCoder> If there is a balance, He wishes you to seek it
<Tactician> Yeah

<OldCoder> You are to respect yourself. To do what you can for yourself as well as for others. It is part of what is expected of you. As you sing, too...

Remember that the songs partake of Joy.

130109. Rubidiun Rising. Or, as an inside joke, Rosieing.

I received the following mysterious message via IRC on Wednesday from somebody I didn't know:

“so I went to a Rubidiun hangout today and left a message there” Where? I am able to find no such thing.

I can't imagine who this mysterious visitor might be. But if they'd like to talk, I'll answer their question.

I've considered asking Rubidiun's internship employer, the one from last summer, to pass along a new message:

Ring around the Rubidiun

There is no Hell
But that which we make
We hope that you are well

Wednesday 2013-01-09 — A Prayer

For the Kiraly Cases story, click here
Tags: Food, Grace, Kiraly, Prayer. A full Kiraly Cases tags system will be added in 2013.

130109. On Tuesday 130108, yesterday, I took a bus to Santa Clara to eat at my favorite buffet. The trip and meal took a fair part of the early evening.

The last meal before this was Saturday 130105. Only three days before so I wasn't too hungry. But I was in the mood for steak and the buffet had it.

A manager I'd started to get to know there gave me my meal for free. The same one who'd fed me before. He said something kind to me. He told me that I'd never go hungry. That I'd always have food at his restaurant.

The manager may have said this because I didn't look well. He knows that I have certain skills. I've offered to help. But he has asked nothing significant of me.

By the way, Michael Bonetto, a subpoena for the manager will get you nothing. I offered him market research, social media, and GIMP training. And I might help them with serving food or doing dishes. They need assistance on holidays.

The manager has offered me food because he's a good man. A Christian, regardless of his faith.

Grace Kiraly made a kind promise to me as well. It was in 2012. During the unannounced trip Grace made to see me. The trip that Michael Bonetto doesn't talk about much. The one where Grace met with me at the Olive Garden in Palo Alto, California and then dropped me off at the Shockley site; the one at this link.

During this trip, Grace told me I'd never be homeless. That my family wished to help me. Immediately after Grace said this, she drove away into the night.

This was the last time that I saw Grace. It is my hope that it will remain the last time. And my prayer.

For the sake of what is right tonight
At this site I shed light without delight
On the sight of the fight with the James Kiraly might
And the height of the blight of the plight

Grace Kiraly's trip to see me in and of itself demonstrates that James Kiraly is a liar. But Grace is pleased to remain silent. To help James hurt me again.

James Kiraly won't last. He's had plenty of strokes. The hate that my abuser feels and the obsessions that drive him are setting him up for another one.

Iohannes has warned me that, for legal reasons, I should not express happiness at the prospect of James Kiraly's death. I am attentive to the advice. And, truthfully, I feel no happiness when I consider the matter.

It will be an occasion for relief and contemplation as opposed to party favors and funny hats. There will be no HTML5 animations of cheerful elves singing of James's departure. Or delicious cakes with icing that spells out “We're Glad You're Gone”.

Hmm. Iohannes, is it truly not permitted to bake a nice departure cake for goodness sake? I ache to take a break to rake nice cake and at the bottomless lake of Abuse of Process they make I do not quake.

Grace Kiraly, though, is likely to live for decades. I wish that I'd slammed the door in her face in 2012. Lord God, if it's all the same to You... I'd prefer not to see this woman again.
